Are you a certified Forklift Operator looking for a challenging opportunity in Salt Lake City, Utah? We need your skills to support our bustling warehouse operations and logistics flow. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the facility, including loading and unloading trucks, relocating stock, and assisting with inventory management. Your expertise in operating forklifts is vital to our daily productivity and commitment to a Safe working environment. We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual who prioritizes Safety and teamwork. This role requires precision and adherence to strict operational guidelines. Essential duties include:
- Operating forklifts to transport goods within the warehouse.
- Loading and unloading trailers and containers.
- Stacking and retrieving inventory from various levels in the racking system.
- Participating in inventory counts and stocktaking activities.
- Conducting pre-operation checks on forklifts and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and Safe work area.
- Strictly following all Safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicating effectively with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed, which may involve occasional Lifting.
Requirements:
Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated experience. Minimum of 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse setting. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and best practices. Strong hand-eye coordination and situational awareness. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Must be at least 18 years old. A strong commitment to Safety, efficiency, and teamwork is crucial for this logistics role.
