Job Summary:
Join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist in Washington, D.C., and play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. This position is vital for optimizing warehouse operations and ensuring customer satisfaction through precise stock management. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and identifying discrepancies. Your keen eye for detail and analytical skills will be essential in this role, contributing directly to the efficiency of our logistics operations. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, organized, and dedicated to upholding high standards of accuracy and Safety. Key duties include:
  • Monitoring and managing inventory levels to ensure accuracy.
  • Performing cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Developing and implementing inventory control procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Identifying and reporting slow-moving or obsolete stock.
  • Ensuring proper storage and organization of inventory.
  • Collaborating with warehouse staff to improve inventory processes.
  • Adhering to all company policies and safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.

Requirements:
Proven experience in inventory control or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software. Ability to perform detailed tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Must be comfortable with physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of items up to 30 pounds. Understanding of logistics principles is beneficial. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a highly organized and efficient inventory system.
