Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and security of goods.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas, optimizing space and accessibility.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure seamless operations and meet productivity goals.
- Report any operational issues or safety concerns to supervision promptly.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of the job.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Possession of a valid forklift operator certification.
- Familiarity with various types of forklifts and their safe operation.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety standards and material handling best practices.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Good communication skills for interacting with colleagues and supervisors.
- Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
- Commitment to following all safety regulations and using provided PPE.
