Our New York City, New York branch is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, which is fundamental to our overall logistics and supply chain success. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. A thorough understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse processes is essential. Responsibilities:
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and identify reorder needs.
- Implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Generate inventory reports for management.
- Uphold strict safety standards and ensure proper use of PPE .
- Support the efficiency of the entire logistics operation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
