Join our dynamic team in Portland, Oregon, as an Order Picker and contribute to the seamless flow of goods in our distribution center. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is vital for maintaining customer satisfaction and requires a sharp eye for detail, efficiency, and a commitment to upholding high standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You'll work closely with our logistics department to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order details provided via scanners or pick lists.
- Ensure the correct quantity and type of items are selected for each order.
- Pack items into appropriate containers, ensuring they are secured for transit.
- Verify order accuracy before preparing for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all established procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and guidelines, including the use of mandatory PPE .
- Meet daily productivity targets for picking and order fulfillment.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Perform tasks involving regular physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and frequent lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Support the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order tickets and product labels accurately.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners and basic computer literacy is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE .
- Familiarity with safe lifting techniques and material handling best practices.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics concepts.
