Our Baltimore, Maryland facility is seeking enthusiastic Order Pickers to join our dedicated logistics team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from our warehouse stock to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical for ensuring customer satisfaction and requires a high level of accuracy, speed, and attention to detail. You will work with various picking technologies and contribute to the smooth operation of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick products from warehouse shelves according to order slips or electronic devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items carefully for safe transport.
- Operate pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Meet established productivity goals for picking and order fulfillment.
- Conduct quality checks on picked items and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Properly use all required PPE , such as safety vests and gloves.
- Manage physical tasks including repetitive lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Support the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience, particularly as an Order Picker, is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and frequent lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE .
- Understanding of basic logistics flow in a warehouse.
This position requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a team. A commitment to safety and accuracy is paramount. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in fast-paced picking tasks and adherence to all company policies, including strict compliance with PPE requirements and safe lifting practices.
