Job Summary:
Are you a technically minded individual passionate about maintaining warehouse operations? Our San Francisco, California facility is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning and safety of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and safety within our logistics operations. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems.
  • Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and emergencies.
  • Implement safety improvements and ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct safety training for warehouse staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed.
  • Support the overall logistics and operational efficiency of the warehouse through technical expertise.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; technical degree or certification in a relevant field is a strong plus.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing a variety of industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy Lifting and working in various warehouse conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
