Our Virginia Beach, Virginia facility is looking for dedicated Order Pickers. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by retrieving items from our warehouse shelves. Your role is critical to our logistics chain, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and correct shipments. We emphasize a safe and productive work environment where attention to detail and efficiency are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products from warehouse locations as indicated by pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product descriptions to ensure order accuracy.
- Package selected items securely and appropriately for shipment.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy goals.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock verification tasks.
- Report any inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Participate in training sessions focused on improving warehouse efficiency and safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the logistics team's objectives.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in order picking, packing, or a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and product labels accurately.
- Capability of performing regular lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and basic logistics principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Punctual and reliable attendance.
