Operate a forklift and manage warehouse inventory in Charlotte, North Carolina. We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced logistics team. This role is vital for moving materials efficiently and safely throughout our facility. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and transporting goods. A strong emphasis on safety and adherence to operational procedures is required.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues immediately.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles and loading docks are clear.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow all lifting guidelines and ensure materials are secured properly.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions and contribute to a safety-conscious culture.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
