Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanners.
- Confirm product codes and quantities to match customer orders precisely.
- Package items appropriately for shipping, safeguarding against damage.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and potentially forklifts after training.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
- Follow all established safety guidelines and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) diligently.
- Achieve daily performance targets for order picking and accuracy.
- Assist in conducting inventory counts and maintaining stock accuracy.
- Promptly report any stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or order errors to management.
- Engage in continuous learning and training to enhance skills in logistics and safety.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in order picking or a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and basic logistics principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Physical capacity to stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Dependable and punctual.
