We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Austin, Texas! As a supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, manage staff, and ensure the efficient and safe flow of goods. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the logistics of inbound and outbound shipments, optimizing workflow, and maintaining high standards of productivity and accuracy. A strong emphasis is placed on upholding safety protocols, ensuring all team members are trained and equipped with the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and fostering a culture of safety consciousness. This leadership role requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct warehouse staff, providing training and performance feedback.
- Manage the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Ensure efficient order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures, ensuring compliance with all PPE requirements.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct regular audits.
- Coordinate with other departments to meet operational goals.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure proper functionality.
- Foster a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Willingness to wear and enforce the use of PPE.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
