Join our vibrant team in New York City as a Shipping Clerk and play a key role in our outbound operations. We are looking for a meticulous and proactive individual to manage the efficient and accurate dispatch of all outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include creating shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, tracking parcels, and ensuring all shipments meet regulatory and customer requirements. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety ; therefore, adherence to all guidelines and the consistent use of provided PPE are essential. While this role is largely administrative, occasional Lifting of boxes may be required. A thorough understanding of Logistics and shipping procedures, particularly within a busy urban environment, is highly valued. We offer competitive remuneration and a stimulating work environment. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and customs documentation as needed.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with various shipping carriers.
- Track shipments and provide real-time status updates to customers and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and inventory of shipping supplies.
- Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to resolve any shipping discrepancies.
- Champion workplace Safety by following all protocols and using appropriate PPE .
- Perform occasional Lifting of boxes or packages weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our Logistics network.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a shipping or logistics coordination role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and common office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures and Logistics .
- Awareness of warehouse Safety best practices and the use of PPE .
- Ability to perform light to moderate Lifting as part of job duties.
