We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our Minneapolis, Minnesota facility. This role is essential for the efficient and safe movement of goods within our logistics hub. You will operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely processing of orders. A strong commitment to safety, adherence to all protocols, and correct use of PPE are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers, ensuring secure and proper placement.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure operational readiness and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of material handling activities and inventory movements.
- Follow all company safety guidelines, including OSHA regulations and the use of required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
- Adhere to proper lifting techniques and safe work practices at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and logistics processes.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime when necessary.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
