Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through meticulous tracking, regular audits, and systematic record-keeping. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices within the logistics department.
  • Track the movement of goods throughout the warehouse, updating inventory records in real-time.
  • Manage and organize stock locations to optimize warehouse space and accessibility.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely when required.
  • Ensure all inventory is handled properly and stored according to established guidelines to prevent damage.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and the importance of using PPE.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
