We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. Your duties will include preparing shipping labels, documenting shipments, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring all packages meet shipping requirements. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and a commitment to accuracy are essential. You will play a key part in our logistics operations, ensuring our products reach customers efficiently and without issue. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to adhere to all company safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary. While this role is primarily administrative, occasional lifting of packages may be required. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment. We value individuals who are organized, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills. You will work closely with other departments to ensure seamless order fulfillment. Ensuring compliance with all shipping regulations is paramount. We provide training on our specific systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and affix shipping labels to packages.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Verify shipment contents and quantities against orders.
- Ensure all packages are properly sealed and secured for transit.
- Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Maintain organized shipping records.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and use PPE as directed.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative role in logistics. Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to perform occasional light lifting. Must be committed to following safety procedures.
