Join our team as a skilled Forklift Operator in Indianapolis, Indiana! We are looking for experienced individuals to operate forklifts and other industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious and proficient in operating various types of forklifts in a busy warehouse setting. Your role is crucial in maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our **logistics** operations. This position demands adherence to strict **safety** standards and proper **PPE** usage.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to load and unload materials and products.
- Transport goods from receiving areas to storage, or from storage to shipping.
- Stack materials in correct locations, ensuring stability and **safety**.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking.
- Follow all **safety** guidelines and procedures for operating machinery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to **PPE** requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and **logistics**.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** and moving of heavy items as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to **safety**.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with **PPE** and its importance.
