We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy New York City, New York logistics center! As a vital member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials and products within the facility. This role requires skilled operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to support various warehouse functions, including loading, unloading, and order fulfillment. Safety is our utmost priority; strict adherence to all Safety regulations and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. This position involves significant physical activity and the ability to handle Lifting is essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move, stack, and stage inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with order picking and put-away tasks.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure all loads are stable and secure before moving.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Contribute to efficient warehouse logistics and operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to using PPE and following all Safety guidelines.
