Main Responsibilities:

• Enforce U.S. laws and regulations related to customs, immigration, and agriculture


• Determine admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States


• Pursue violators who attempt to evade inspection or enter the country illegally

A typical day as a Customs Protection Officer involves conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances; interviewing witnesses; analyzing intelligence information; and collaborating with other agencies like U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) on joint operations.
The primary goal is always to prevent illegal activity from entering American soil. Additionally,
you'll participate in training exercises designed by experts within CBP which help build core competencies needed during times when challenging scenarios unfold right before your eyes!
