Are you ready to apply your knowledge in the real world? We are hiring a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Co-op for the 2026 Summer Term with our Power Generation Project Impl. team.
During your time with us, you will gain exposure to what it's like to be part of our team.
Key elements of this role include:We'll treat you as one of our own and your key areas of responsibility will include:
- Capital project support:
- Completing design packages (e.g. engineering drawings, cable schedule, commissioning sheets)
- Procurement of materials
- Working with E&I shop during installation and commissioning.
- Working with E&I shop, operations, plant engineers to help troubleshoot day to day operating issues.
- Support drafting As-built drawings and procedures as required.
- Project close‑out and documentation support, including As‑Built compilation, SharePoint register updates (risk, issues, lessons learned, document registers), and preparation of turnover packages for PM review
- Warranty and GRTL tracking, support PMs in maintaining follow‑up logs and dashboards.
- Contractor support, such as photo documentation and progress tracking for items like powerhouse painting, rock monitoring (data capture/log updates only), and borehole abandonment documentation
- Spillover and operational commitments, including admin and coordination support for BOP/HVAC items and the fire protection scope we committed to supporting for Operations
- You are an experienced engineering student with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- You demonstrate strong communication and relationship skills, and an ability to work well with at various levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with risk management, project controls, and project management methodologies will be considered an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite will be considered an asset (E.g., Excel, SharePoint, Visio).
