• Degree in Information Technology, Computing Science or a related discipline and 4 years relevant experience
• OR Post secondary diploma in a related discipline and 5 years relevant experience or
• OR 1 year related certificate and 7 years relevant experience

Asset:

• SAP Certified Associate – Back-End Developer - ABAP Cloud
• SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP BTP or Integration Suite

Skills required for success:

• Experience providing 24x7 on-call support to a mission-critical application or system
• Experience working in a complex and highly diverse data, application and technology environments
• Knowledge of Hybrid cloud environment and on-premise data, applications, and technologies
• SAP Ecosystem\: 5+ years of experience in SAP development, with at least 2 years focused on S/4HANA and SAP BTP
• Experience in ABAP Cloud & RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
• Experience building and extending front-end apps using Fiori/SAPUI5
• Experience with designing and managing iFlows(Integration Flows) using SAP Integration Suite
• Proficient use of OData and REST APIs to pull/push data from Ariba or SuccessFactors
• Familiarity with CIG (Cloud Integration Gateway) and Ariba APIs for Source-to-Pay automation
• Experience with OData API, SFAPI, and Employee Central data models. Knowledge of the Recruit-to-Retire business process
• Experience with Concur and Workforce/Sodales integrations

As our SAP Application & Infrastructure Analyst II, you'll step into a high-impact role within the Corporate Procurement and Supply Services Branch on the  Business Solutions team, moving beyond "on-premise" constraints to master a "clean core" hybrid landscape. You won't just maintain systems; you will facilitate a business transformation from legacy systems into S/4 HANA and a suite of SAP SaaS  applications like Ariba, SuccessFactors and Concur contributing to one seamless digital system for the City of Edmonton. What will you do?

• Perform complex end-to-end delivery/design and maintenance for the SAP Cloud suite with S/4 HANA and several SAAS applications systems within the scope of expertise
• Execute operational projects and planned enhancements as determined by management
• Provide conceptual, functional design and project planning definition
• Interacts with business and end users directly to identify the problems and provide effective solutions
• Design and manage end-to-end integrations  (Real-time, Event-driven, and Batch) using SAP Integration Suite (formerly CPI)
• Build and maintain "standard-reaching" connections between S/4HANA and SAP SaaS (Ariba CIG, SuccessFactors OData, Concur APIs)
• "Clean Core" Extension Development using BTP ABAP and SAP Build framework
• Develop custom middleware solutions in BTP to bridge data gaps with non-SAP systems
• Create traceability records, from test cases back to requirements
• Produce test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services
• Work to specify requirements for environment, data, resources and tools
• Interpret, execute and document complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards
• Perform research and investigations as needed
• Lead and contribute to change management for technical activities
