POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, Technical Services, the Project Engineer will be part of the engineering team that oversees the design, fabrication, installation and deployment success of the next generation of CLEANTEK (the "Company") products, leads deployment projects and contributes to the dynamic need for engineering and R&D support for operations and manufacturing.
Preference will be given to a candidate who can undertake project management activities such as completing design calculations for system designs, manufacturing supervision, tracking and reporting project values, procurement for projects, design contributions, project planning, scope and cost estimations. This role will be responsible for ensuring standards are met such as CSA & ABSA. Knowledge of P&ID development is considered an asset. SolidWorks experience and knowledge of CFD simulation and experience in boilers and thermal engineering are a highly desired asset.
This is a dynamic role that will evolve to fit the needs of a quickly growing company. The individual will have exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and co-ordinate their own workload.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·Lead and contribute to project activities such as:
- Preparation of preliminary concept drawings.
- Creation of project site layouts and overlays.
- Understanding and outlining onsite reporting values for multiple products.
- Bill of Material creation.
- Procurement and ordering for equipment builds.
- Coordinate and streamline production schedules.
- Transport and brokerage documentation for import and export of materials, products and assets.
- Contribute to the design of new products.
- Creation of SOP documentation and manuals for products, product applications and site-specific deployments.
- Material compatibility checks.
- Specialty item datasheets.
- Mechanical equipment datasheets.
· Assist management with validated product problem solving and operations issues.
· Assist management in developing future vision for technology including new products development.
· Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve quality, reduce costs and improve business processes.
· Practical and technical engineering skills; able to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work to industry, regulatory and customer standards and procedures.
· Maintain and leverage a current knowledge of new developments in technology, safety, quality, and regulations by attending conferences, seminars, and reviewing technical papers.
· Identify design improvements.
· Participate in risk assessments & PHAs
· Provide input to process documentation and operating and maintenance manuals.
· Adhere to all safety requirements and CLEANTEK Safety Policies.
· Adhere to and follow CLEANTEK-APEGA PPMP guidelines.
· Other duties as required
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Must be organized and detailed-oriented with strong communication skills.

· QA/QC - ISO 9001 knowledge is an asset.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
· Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Alberta preferred.
· 3 years of proven work experience preferably with oil and gas packages and/or boiler or thermal engineering projects.
· Excellent technical skills
· Knowledge of Canadian Standards: CSA, ABSA
· SolidWorks, AutoCAD knowledge an asset.
· Advanced Microsoft Office computers skills required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Familiarity with health and safety regulations
· Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
· Overtime may be required and is expected depending on project deadlines.
· Must have a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
· Ability to work outdoors in all conditions.
· Continuous sitting, standing and walking
· Willingness and ability to travel (estimated to be ~ 20% requirement)
