As our new People & Payroll Coordinator, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Manage full-cycle bi-weekly/semi-monthly/monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees
- Process multi-province timesheets on a weekly basis and generate related reports
- Maintain and update multiple payroll spreadsheets and reports on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis, or as required
- Ensure data integrity within the HRIS (e.g., ADP, Dayforce, Workday, etc.) by regularly auditing and updating employee records
- Prepare and file year-end forms (e.g., T4s) and ensure all government filings meet statutory deadlines
- Manage RRSP contributions by preparing and uploading files to plan providers and reconciling them against payroll registers
- Reconcile group benefits against payroll registers and update year-to-date taxable benefits as required
- Calculate and remit monthly, quarterly, or annual WCB/WSIB premiums and reports
- Serve as one of the primary contacts for payroll inquiries, providing timely responses or directing employees to appropriate resources
- Support special payroll and HR projects and initiatives as they arise

The salary range for this position is $65, $70, Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and provincial employment legislation (e.g., Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Code)
- Experience with ADP payroll systems is an asset
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Workday or Deltek Vantagepoint is considered an asset
- Current enrollment in, or progress toward the Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation is an asset
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience working part of a Human Resources team is an asset
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field is preferred
