Are you detail-oriented and organized? We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist in Portland, Oregon. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to maintain optimal stock accuracy. Your work directly impacts our logistics operations, ensuring that we have the right products in the right place at the right time. This position requires a meticulous approach and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS and ERP systems.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to improve inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE, and support a culture of safety.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed to verify inventory.
- Must be comfortable with Lifting and moving inventory.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with WMS and ERP software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management best practices.
- Experience with manual and powered material handling equipment is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
