Position Overview
The Recruiter, Health Services supports Calian's business by filling healthcare positions for ongoing contracts and new business opportunities. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to confirm requirements, build recruiting plans, and source qualified healthcare professionals. The role focuses on high-volume healthcare roles where candidate availability is strong, ensuring timely placements while maintaining a positive candidate experience.
They also contribute to process improvements, industry awareness, and the overall success of the recruiting team.
Responsibilities
Work with stakeholders and review RFP documents to define clear and accurate healthcare position requirements.
Review requirements and develop recruiting plans, building sourcing and advertising strategies tailored to each role.
Source healthcare candidates through job postings, databases, referrals, and networking; grow and maintain strong, relevant talent pools.
Screen, interview, and reference-check candidates to ensure alignment with role requirements and business needs.
Present qualified candidates to stakeholders, including assessments and recommendations.
Negotiate employment terms such as rates and start dates and manage the closing process.
Serve as recruiting prime on assigned healthcare projects, resolving issues and ensuring hiring meets revenue and margin goals.
Use recruiting tools according to Calian standards and policies.
Maintain relationships with placed healthcare professionals to support retention and satisfaction.
Support team members when requested, contributing to collaboration and shared success.
Stay informed on recruiting trends and best practices through research, trade media, and recruiter forums.
Represent Calian at career fairs, networking events, and other external functions to build brand awareness and candidate pipelines.
Take initiative to improve individual performance and contribute to process enhancements within the recruiting function.
Other duties as required within the context of the role.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education preferred.
2+ years of demonstrated recruiting success in a relevant environment.
Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to present a professional and positive image when representing Calian.
Sound judgment, tact, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Flexibility and composure when managing competing priorities.
Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
Proficiency with ATS, sourcing tools, and online job boards.
Experience recruiting healthcare professionals or within the healthcare sector is an asset.
Additional Requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret-level security clearance is required.
Bilingualism (English and French) is required
Compensation
$65,000 – $73,000
