Position Summary

The Delivery Driver / Production & Warehouse Labourer supports company operations through a combination of driving, production, and warehouse duties. This role is responsible for delivering and picking up products and materials, as well as assisting in the preparation, assembly, and packaging of commercial and residential overhead garage doors for delivery to customers and sister-company locations.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Transportation

  • Deliver finished products to sister-company locations in Victoria and Kelowna
  • Deliver products to customer locations throughout the Lower Mainland
  • Pick up products and materials from suppliers across the Lower Mainland
  • Transport products and materials between company locations as scheduled
  • Load, secure, and unload materials safely
  • Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues
  • Complete pre-trip inspections and trip reports for every day when driving occurs
  • Comply with all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies

Production & Warehouse Labour

  • Perform daily production and warehouse activities safely and efficiently
  • Review work orders and customer specifications to prepare doors for customization
  • Assist the Fabricator in cutting and assembling residential and commercial door sections
  • Install required components including end caps, tracks, hinges, rollers, weather seals, and hardware
  • Assist in the operation of fabrication equipment including saws and CNC machines
  • Assemble, package, and prepare completed orders for shipment or pickup, ensuring quality control
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
  • Perform basic equipment checks and assist with minor maintenance or troubleshooting
  • Support general shop and warehouse duties as required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record and a minimum of 1 year experience driving a straight truck
  • Minimum 1 year experience in fabrication, manufacturing, millwork, or overhead door production (asset)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
  • Ability to read work orders and follow technical instructions (technical drawings an asset)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical work in a shop or warehouse environment
  • Forklift certification an asset or willingness to obtain
  • Knowledge of residential or commercial overhead door systems an asset
  • Comfortable with regional travel including occasional overnight trips
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment

This role involves a combination of driving, warehouse, and production shop work. The position requires physical activity including lifting, sitting for multiple hours while driving, standing for extended periods, and working in varying weather conditions during deliveries.
