Greentree Outdoor Living
Position Overview
The Landscape Designer at Greentree Outdoor Living is a creative, self-driven professional who takes full ownership of their design work from concept to client approval. This role is ideal for someone who wants control over their creative direction, strives for excellence, and aims to build a reputation as an industry leader.

Designers at Greentree have the creative freedom to guide their projects, with strong support from our design, operations, and production teams. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to grow, refine their craft, and become a respected leader in landscape design.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesClient Acquisition & Consultation
Generate new design opportunities through prospect outreach and inbound lead handling.
Contact prospects to determine interest, provide preliminary information, and schedule consultations.
Conduct on-site consultations; assess site conditions, take measurements, review client needs, and establish realistic budget parameters.
Build strong rapport with clients by communicating ideas clearly and confidently.
Design Development
Create conceptual and fully developed landscape designs that meet Greentree's quality, functional, and aesthetic standards.
Prepare scale drawings, conceptual layouts, and 3D renderings (where applicable).
Ensure design feasibility through collaboration with the Operations Manager and Design & Sales Manager (DSM).
Prepare accurate material takeoffs and support estimating with clear quantity breakdowns.
Participate in internal design reviews to align with Greentree's design standards.
Provide the drafter with clear instructions for construction drawings, revisions, and detailing.
Estimating, Proposals & Sales Support
Work alongside the DSM and Operations Manager during the estimating process.
Assist with proposal packages for client presentation.
Present designs and pricing during proposal meetings; address questions and revise as needed.
Support contract signing by ensuring clarity around scope, materials, and expectations.
Prepare and process change orders as required.
Project Coordination & Handoff
Prepare complete design packages for formal handoff to Operations.
Meet with the Site Manager and foremen to review final plans prior to construction.
Conduct periodic site visits during construction for layout verification and design intent checks.
Communicate any required on-site design adjustments to the project team.
Client Communication & Experience
Maintain proactive, professional communication throughout the design phase.
Ensure client documentation is stored and managed according to Greentree standards.
Conduct post-construction follow-up to ensure client satisfaction and to support portfolio development.
Collaboration, Culture & Marketing
Maintain organized design files, templates, and standards.
Support fellow designers and participate in collaborative review sessions.
Capture photos, videos, and project details for marketing and portfolio use.
Engage positively in Greentree's culture-building activities, meetings, and professional development sessions.
Essential Requirements
Strong creative and technical skills in landscape design, conceptual planning, and scaled drawings.
Ability to represent Greentree professionally during consultations and client meetings.
Physical ability to perform on-site assessments, navigate jobsite terrain, and take measurements.
Ability to work collaboratively with designers, drafters, DSM, Operations Manager, Site Manager, and field crews.
High organizational capability with the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
Proficiency with email, smartphones, CRM systems, and design software.
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Smartphone for communication, scheduling, and jobsite coordination.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
