Wellbeing Practitioner

Location: Littlehampton

Hours: 30 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 10:00-16:00, with every other week including a Saturday shift and a flexi day off during the week.

Salary: Weekday £14.12, Weekend £15.12, Overtime £16.12, Bank Holiday £21.18 per hour

The Role

We are a well-regarded residential home based in Littlehampton and are seeking a creative, reliable, and compassionate Wellbeing Practitioner to join our dedicated team.

In this role, you will plan, organise, and deliver a varied programme of activities designed to enrich the daily lives of our residents. You will work closely with the care team to ensure activities are person-centred, meaningful, and tailored to each resident's interests, abilities, and wellbeing needs. This is a hands-on, rewarding position where you will play an important part in supporting residents to live fulfilling, engaging lives and remain connected to their families, friends, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify residents' interests, abilities, and preferences through assessments, observations, and conversations.
  • Plan and deliver a varied, imaginative programme of activities, including group sessions, one-to-one activities, outings, and themed events.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure activities are inclusive and engaging.
  • Utilise both internal resources and external community links to enhance the wellbeing programme.
  • Promote activities effectively within the home to encourage participation.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation, assessments, and activity evaluations.
  • Organise special events such as seasonal celebrations, fundraising activities, and community-based outings.
  • Regularly review and update activity plans in line with residents' changing needs and interests.
  • Support a positive, stimulating environment that promotes independence, social interaction, and emotional well-being.
  • Ensure activities and outings are delivered safely, following risk assessments and home procedures.
  • Attend training, meetings, and supervision sessions as required.
  • Comply with all health and safety, safeguarding, infection control, and organisational policies.
  • Uphold resident confidentiality and always promote the positive reputation of the home.
