Reporting to the Director, Business Science & Technology provides a comprehensive portfolio of continuing and professional education programming for local, international and geographically dispersed learners. The coordinator works closely with faculties, industry experts, community partners to design and deliver non-credit programs using micro-certificate, certificate, diploma or other programming models.
Objectives
Delivery and administration of courses and programs within DCS; identifying market needs, program planning, course and program development and oversight of administrative activities.
Recruitment, supervision and oversight of program instructors
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships for innovative programs that serve the portfolio's target market.
This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related discipline, together with three or more years of relevant experience in a post-secondary institution.

Knowledge of current labor market conditions and trends
Knowledge of academic systems, program planning, instructional design and technologies and evaluation strategies
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Superior communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to collaborate successfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at all levels of the university
Knowledge of university organization would be considered an asset as would knowledge of the post-secondary system
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
This position involves occasional evening and weekend work hours and some local and long-distance travel to coordinate partnerships and course delivery. A Class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle on an occasional basis are needed
There is travel to locations outside of Victoria for meetings and conferences
