HirEvo is supporting a Calgary-based client in identifying an(JB1) experienced SAP Solution Architect across various SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Concur and other solutions.
This is a part-time, as-needed role, well suited for an experienced SAP architect seeking a flexible engagement model. The role will support ongoing operational and enhancement initiatives and will work closely with the client's internal enterprise architecture, data and SAP solution support teams. This opportunity has the potential to require additional hours (up to full time) when new projects or initiatives are launched.
The SAP Solution Architect will provide end-to-end architectural leadership across asset-intensive business processes, ensuring solutions align with SAP S/4HANA best practices, enterprise standards, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
Provide end-to-end solution architecture across:
.:. Finance (FI / CO, Record-to-Report)
.:. Supply Chain Management (Contracts, MM, Inventory Management, Procure-to-Pay)
.:. Project Systems and Portfolio & Project Management
.:. Plant Maintenance / Enterprise Asset Management (PM / EAM)
.:. Human Resources (SuccessFactors & S/4)
Define and maintain target-state architectures aligned with SAP S/4HANA and enterprise architecture standards
Partner with internal enterprise architecture teams to ensure alignment with enterprise principles, roadmaps, and governance
Lead project & enhancement designs for integrated business processes
Ensure tight integration between operational and financial processes
Integration & Data
Collaborate with internal SAP solution support teams to design and govern integration between SAP modules and external systems (vendor platforms, banking, EAM tools)
Provide architectural guidance on master data models, including finance, materials, vendors, assets, equipment, functional locations, and people information
Governance & Quality
Assist in development of architecture standards, design principles, and solution patterns
Review and recommend solution designs, configuration approaches, and custom developments
Support as a resource for cross-module, integration, and data integrity challenges
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and supportable
Delivery & Collaboration
Work closely with:

.:. Business stakeholders and process owners
Provide architectural oversight across the operations and projects lifecycle
Support effort estimation, dependency identification, and sequencing for new initiatives
Advisory & Continuous Improvement
Act as an advisor to IT leadership
Identify opportunities to simplify solutions, reduce technical debt, and improve process efficiency
Provide guidance on SAP roadmap items, innovations, and optimization opportunities
Required Qualifications
Experience
10+ years of SAP experience across varying SAP products in Finance, SCM, HR, PS, and Plant Maintenance
Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Lead Architect on complex SAP programs
Experience with Technical components to integrate processes and data with SAP solutions
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to operate independently while working within established governance structures
Comfortable with flexible, evolving workloads
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field
SAP certifications in FI/CO, SCM, or PM (preferred)
SAP S/4HANA certification (preferred)

Ability to scale up hours, potentially to full-time, during new projects
