Salary: £29,348.80 - £30,368 Per Annum

Hours: 40 hours a week

At The New Barnet Day Nursery & Pre-School, we’re not just a nursery; we’re a community! This role offers a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, with flexible shift patterns between our operating hours of 7:30 AM - 6:30 PM. Please note, we operate all year round, so this is not a term-time only position. To thrive in this role, you’ll need a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification.

Your Role as a Nursery Practitioner:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Assist management in delivering the highest standards of care and education for children.
  • Collaborate with the Room Leader and staff to ensure a smooth daily routine.
  • Contribute creative ideas to planning, ensuring children receive quality learning experiences.
  • Liaise with nursery staff regarding children’s specific needs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
  • Adhere to all nursery policies and procedures.
  • Promote and ensure safeguarding standards for all children and adults in the setting.
Essential Criteria - Qualifications/Experience:
  • Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification: Essential
  • Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years: Essential
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations: Desirable
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS: Essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English: Essential
