Position: Room Leader | Type: Full Time | Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Salary: £27,580 per annum

Are you an experienced Room Leader ready for a new adventure? At Acre Wood Nursery , we’re on the lookout for a passionate individual to lead our dedicated team in delivering our enriching ethos and curriculum to children and families.

Our nursery operates from 7:00 AM to 6:15 PM, and we need someone flexible to work varied shifts within these hours. If you’re excited about making a difference in the lives of young children, we want to hear from you!

As a Room Leader, you will:

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
• Support the holistic development of children—physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
• Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and child learning journals.
• Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
• Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments for children.
• Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
• Understand and uphold the statutory framework for the EYFS.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Essential: Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification.
• Essential: Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years.
• Desirable: Over 6 months of experience in a senior position.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating.
• Essential: Familiarity with the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements.
• Essential: Fluency in written and spoken English.
