Join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! This crucial role is at the heart of our warehouse operations, managing the flow of goods into and out of our facility. You will be responsible for the accurate receiving of all incoming shipments, thorough inspection of goods, and the efficient staging and preparation of outgoing orders. As a key player in our Logistics network, your attention to detail and commitment to Safety are paramount. We are dedicated to fostering a collaborative and secure work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload incoming shipments from vendors and carriers.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage or defects.
- Log all incoming and outgoing shipments into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received products for put-away into storage locations.
- Prepare outgoing orders for shipment, including packing, labeling, and manifesting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Previous experience in a Shipping & Receiving role is essential.
- Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems and procedures.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength and stamina, including regular Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Must be proficient in using warehouse equipment and technology.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety regulations.
- Willingness to wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and external partners.
- This position is critical to our Logistics operations.
