What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Senior Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our structural projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing complex and specialist quality inspection activities, leveraging your expert knowledge in your specific quality discipline.
  • Conducting thorough conditions management and customer walk-round audits .
  • Executing quality activities in line with established processes, while also reviewing and updating them as necessary.
  • Utilizing calibrated measuring equipment to verify product tolerances and document any non-conformances.
Your Skills and Experiences:

Essential Qualifications:

  • A background in Steelwork, Engineering, Quality, or Manufacturing.
  • Experience in using and training others on relevant technology and tools.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, procedures, and contract requirements effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Qualified in an appropriate technical discipline or possess equivalent experience (Steelwork).

About the Structural Quality Control Team:

You’ll be part of an established, evolving team at the forefront of Dreadnought & Astute submarine construction, covering all areas of the Barrow site (NAS/CYC/DDH). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a complex shipbuilding environment, utilizing a variety of inspection techniques and equipment to support the Dreadnought & Astute build programme, ensuring the delivery of world-class submarine capabilities to the Royal Navy.

We also offer relocation support packages for eligible candidates across all Submarines roles.
