Job Family:Data Science Consulting Travel Required: Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will collect and analyze data to identify trends, develop visualizations in support of organizational and mission goals, and support decision-making for large-scale programs within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Design and develop data visualization and dashboard solutions to provide required analytics insights (Power BI) Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data using a variety of methods and tools, such as R Identifying and creating additional data visualization capabilities, as needed Ensuring data governance and quality assurance standards are met Conducting data validation and remediation using tools such as R and Excel Analyzing current process and identifying potential improvements Working with team members to summarize and report on business process improvements to include gaps in current processes and initiatives to improve processes for an organization and documenting, tracking, and following-up on action items Bachelors Degree At least THREE (3) years of experience in consulting, data analytics, or project management Data visualization tools such as Power BI Good critical thinking skills, writing skills, and communication skills Experience in business analysis Experience connecting visualization to various types of data sources Experience developing training materials Experience with process improvement Database optimization Monitoring program operations to ensure compliance with federal regulations
