Location: Furlong Road, Bourne End, SL8 5AE

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Qualification: Level 3 Childcare Qualification is essential

Welcome to The Bourne End Day Nursery & Pre School , where charm meets creativity! Our nursery, set in a beautifully converted Methodist Church, is just a short 6-minute walk from Bourne End Train Station, with convenient street parking available. Here, every day is a new adventure for our children, filled with exciting activities like French lessons and explorations in our spacious outdoor area, complete with a mud kitchen for hands-on fun!

We are on the lookout for a passionate and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our friendly team. If you have a Level 3 Childcare qualification and are ready to work full-time (40 hours a week with flexible shifts between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday), we want to hear from you!

Your Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
  • Meet the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS throughout the nursery.
  • Assist in managing medication administration and ensure care plans are up-to-date.
  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences appropriate to each child's development stage.
  • Communicate effectively to promote respect and credibility in your role.
  • Inspire the staff team with creative ideas and challenges to achieve outstanding practice.
  • Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
  • Undertake additional duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.

*Duties may evolve, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Leadership experience - Essential
  • Over 1 year of experience in Early Years - Essential
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Over 1 year of management experience - Desirable
  • Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
  • Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
