Salary: Starting at £25,563.20, with potential earnings up to £32,283.20 through sleep-in shifts.
Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Bayview. You will be working in a warm, family-oriented environment, caring for a maximum of four young people aged 8-18 in our homes located in Heysham or rural North Lancaster.
Your RoleIn this rewarding position, you will:
- Guide young people with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges towards success.
- Create a safe, secure, and nurturing environment that fosters growth and positivity.
- Help maintain our 'Outstanding' or 'Good' Ofsted ratings by continuously improving the quality of care.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- A commitment to completing your Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People or Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship within 2 years.
- A full UK driving license.

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will:
- Exceed National Standards set by Ofsted in your role as a Childcare Worker and Key Worker.
- Provide high-quality childcare and support to the young people in our care.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families and external partners.
- Foster a culture of trust and respect within the home.
Your contributions will include:
- Developing tailored care plans for each young person.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and Bay View policies.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and secure home environment.
- Building trusting relationships with the children, understanding their unique backgrounds and needs.
- Proactively engaging with the children to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Supervising and ensuring the safety of the children at all times.
- Participating in activities with the children, much like a caring parent would.
- Maintaining open communication with families and contributing to reviews.
