Assistant Manager, Visual Merchandising
The Assistant Manager, Visual Merchandising will support the Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising to lead a team of visual merchandising professionals in reinforcing the brand of the company, through excellence in executing all areas of visual merchandising and product standards throughout the store.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist with the coaching and development of the visual merchandising team, inspired through direct hands-on support and leading by example
- Assist with the direction of creating leading-edge presentations within windows, interior focals, department mannequins and merchandise integration; while remaining aligned to corporate direction on creative concepts and styling
- Support the Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising, to plan and coordinate materials around: store renovations, department developments, pop up installations and high profile events
- Maximize impact of all aspects of sensory input in the creation of a world-class environment.
- Implement sales driving merchandising strategies and provide direction to a team of visual merchandisers; to maximize impact of new receipts and rotate the presentation of aged stock
- Deliver all visual merchandising presentation set-ups on time and within budget
- Source materials and alternate items as appropriate for visual props to support creative directives
- Assist Visual Merchandising Management to align costs of allotted budget and expenses provided to stores by SSC
- Ensure established visual merchandising presentation standards are maintained throughout the store, windows and interiors
- Partner with Store Management to ensure daily opening/closing checklists are executed and maintained
- Support with communication of appropriate parameters, standards, guidelines and directives set by SSC
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies, and merchandise protection policies and requirements
- Ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures.
The ideal candidate:
- Minimum 3-5 yrs of Visual Presentation in Retail
- Post-Secondary education an asset
- Fine Arts Training and /or Related Design School Diploma
- Formal or equivalent Visual Merchandising Presentation Training
- Minimum 5 years of Visual Merchandising Presentation in Retail

- Individual objectives linked to the achievement of department goals
- Feedback from internal and external clients
