Position Overview
The Manager, Fund Operations is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the funds including: settlements, redemptions, distributions, commission payments, trailer fees and process improvements across the Fund Operations team. Working with internal and external stakeholders to develop and enhance operations in order to measure success against established goals.
Accountable for the service and administration of all funds. The manager must have a strong compliance background and deep understanding of the financial services industry to ensure compliant processes are being followed. The Manager Fund Operations will build and lead a team. Coaching and providing career development while being an ambassador of the Pier 4 culture anchored in Professionalism, Integrity, Excellence and Respect.
The fund operations team also ensures the precision and integrity of our investor data and produces the requisite financial reports and tax documentation for our investors. This team maintains our governance standards, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory requirements and performing data reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
Settlements of trades
Portfolio reconciliation
Facilitate and manage the monthly closings of new investors
Facilitate and manage all aspects of the monthly distribution process
Liaise with Advisors, Dealing Representatives and Legal Counsel
Understanding fund operational policies and procedures
Suggest improvements to operational processes
Implement improved processes
Coordinate and update all investor facing material and distribute in a timely manner
Project management
Ensure staff members are achieving desired service levels and taking corrective action, as needed.
Foster a work environment that values people and encourages participation, creativity, learning and accountability
Ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge, training, experience, tools and technology needed to achieve the required business results
Hiring, training, coaching, and leading the operations team
Identify, develop and maintain opportunities for process and system improvements and manage process and system improvement projects where appropriate
Requirements

3 - 5 years industry experience
