Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a proactive Assistant Project Manager to provide comprehensive support to the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager on key project activities. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth project delivery by managing schedules, budgets, and communications, while also stepping in to cover critical tasks during conflicting meetings or absences. The successful candidate will engage closely with design teams, commercial functions, and clients, contributing to the overall success and compliance of projects.

Role accountabilities:

In this role, you will support schedule management by coordinating closely with design managers and coordinators to gather updates and work alongside the lead scheduler to communicate progress and changes effectively to the client. You will assist in preparing resource forecasts, justifying any fluctuations, and maintaining alignment with project needs.

You will support the change management process by liaising with the commercial team to ensure all variations are documented and processed accurately. Additionally, you will assist with budget assignments and project controls, including earned value analysis and monitoring cost and schedule performance indices (CPI/SPI).

You will be responsible for managing health and safety processes, ensuring compliance across the project team, and overseeing the timely review and submission of weekly timesheets. Managing travel and expense forecasts, maintaining the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and task codes in Uniphi, and conducting cost and financial analyses from Uniphi and Oracle will also be key components of your role.

In this position, you will attend and present at client meetings as required, handle payment application processes, and perform various administrative duties such as preparing meeting minutes and supporting ad hoc project requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
  • Proven experience supporting project management teams in a construction, engineering, or design environment
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling tools and experience coordinating schedule updates
  • Familiarity with resource forecasting and budget management processes
  • Experience with change management and commercial contract coordination
  • Proficient in project controls concepts, including earned value management (EVM), CPI, and SPI
  • Experience managing health and safety compliance within projects
  • Skilled in financial software and reporting tools such as Uniphi and Oracle
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for client interactions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently

The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $99,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
