About the Role:
NOTE: This is a 12-month Fixed Term
The role of a Data Engineer is critical for a high performing data management team to support the data infrastructure that is used for building data management solutions. The Data Engineer will design and build processes and systems for collecting, storing, and analyzing data. They also design the data infrastructure that allows data to flow smoothly between different systems and applications and maintain the data pipeline to ensure they are always operational. With deep understanding of data modeling, the Data Engineer will ensure that data is accessible and can support and provide business intelligence and decision-making.
As the Newest Member of our Team, You Will:
Design and build end‑to‑end data pipelines integrating multiple data sources into a unified platform
Leverage Azure cloud services to orchestrate, optimize, and scale data workflows
Develop robust data models to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs
Implement data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and dataflows
Optimize data pipelines for performance, cost efficiency, and low latency
Monitor pipeline performance and proactively troubleshoot issues and bottlenecks
Build automated data quality and validation processes to ensure reliable ETL outcomes
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build and deployment
Support data governance, including data catalog, lineage, privacy, and compliance standards
Business travel may be required.
To Succeed, You Bring:
8+ years of experience building ELT/ETL pipelines from scratch for ODS and data warehouse environments, working with structured, semi‑structured, unstructured, and streaming data (Azure preferred)
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience; cloud data certifications are an asset
5+ years of experience with data ingestion and replication tools (e.g., Informatica, SSIS, Microsoft Fabric, or similar cloud platforms)
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for processing and optimizing large‑scale data sets
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and infrastructure tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, Terraform)
Solid background in data modeling, complex transformations, production deployments, and reverse‑engineering existing integrations
The target hiring salary for this position is $103, $129, Placement within our salary range will be based on factors such as internal equity, market conditions, and the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
