One of our leading banking clients is seeking a Senior Manager, eGRC Data Governance to join their Enterprise Risk team for a 6-month contract (with strong possibility of extension).
Job Title- Data Governance- eGRC
Location: 40 King Street W, 11th Floor (Onsite 3x/week)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm (37.5 hrs/week, potential OT)
Max Pay Rate: $65hour
Duration: 6 months (extension possible)
Reason for Hire: Increased workload
About the Team
You'll be supporting the Enterprise Risk, Strategy & Execution group within a major banking organization, contributing to the Enterprise Governance Risk Compliance (eGRC) Program.
The eGRC program is a strategic transformation initiative modernizing governance, risk, and compliance practices across the enterprise. It integrates frameworks, processes, and regulatory requirements into a consistent platform to enhance transparency, automate key controls, and enable data-driven decision-making.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Director, the Senior Manager, eGRC Data Governance will drive the planning and execution of foundational data governance elements that support the bank's risk management goals and regulatory compliance.
This role plays a critical part in shaping the program's taxonomies, data models, governance structures, and risk frameworks while ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
Support design, implementation, and continuous improvement of eGRC foundational elements (taxonomy, data model, PRC Inventory, RCSAs, NIRAs, KRIs, Scenario Analysis).
Lead data governance execution by:
Maintaining data definitions
Ensuring data integrity
Embedding standardized practices across workflows
Drive automation and process improvements to enhance data quality and reduce manual effort.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Governance, Operational Risk, Compliance, Technology, Tech Enablement & Delivery).
Provide effective challenge and oversight of eGRC assessments and reporting.
Support enterprise reporting and analytics for senior leadership and governance committees.
Participate in change governance and technical working groups.
Deliver high-quality analyses and change-related materials as priorities evolve.
Promote a strong risk culture aligned with regulatory, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk obligations.
Foster a high-performance, inclusive team environment.
Must-Have Qualifications
8+ years of experience in data governance and delivering operational risk programs in consulting, finance, or banking.
Strong experience aligning business functions to enterprise frameworks and external regulations.
2+ years supporting enterprise change management in large transformation initiatives.
Exceptional analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Bachelor's degree.
Nice-to-Have
Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, or Power BI.
Familiarity with platforms such as Jira, Clarity, OpenPages, or ServiceNow.
Experience in eGRC program delivery and transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of regulatory environments and GRC technology platforms.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
