Evolve Recycling is looking for full-time permanent machine operators to work in our tire recycling facility in Brantford, ON. Evolve Recycling is Canada's leader in tire recycling turning used tires into usable products such as multi-purpose matting, artificial sports surfaces and other innovative products.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner and Procurement Supervisor works closely with the Maintenance and Production departments to continuously improve equipment availability and operational productivity. This role optimizes equipment reliability and minimizes downtime through the effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance activities and procurement functions.
Based on objectives set by the company, the role of the Maintenance Planner and Procurement Supervisor is to:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules that
- Incorporate Health and Safety requirements
- Utilize industrial and internal best practices
- Create requisitions for parts and arrange for external labour according to the scheduling of work orders, production priorities and machine availability
- Continuously strive to improve maintenance practices and maintain accurate maintenance, equipment records and KPI's tracking
In collaboration with the Purchaser:
- Manage supply, at the best cost of products materials and tools essential to maintenance
- Manage inventory levels including parts components and products, required based on production volumes, season and expected needs
- Oversee maintenance employees during shift and participate in maintenance driven tasks as required
- Specific Tasks:
- Develop and improve the preventative maintenance plan for Evolve plant using CMMS.
- Plan and schedule all the maintenance activities using internal or external resources required for the work
- Assist in and initiate Capex projects in collaboration with Maintenance Manager and the project engineer
- Collaborate in the improvement of the company's internal processes
- Ensure the development of sector-specific policies and procedures
- Maintain effective communication with the production, maintenance department, project managers and other stakeholders
- Monitor indicators, maintain and improve sectoral performance
- Prepare and present reports and results to peers and management
- Contribute to the compliance of work schedules and cost
- Contribute to discussion on operational orientations
- Provide support to other sectors in case of need
- Any other related tasks to maintenance
