IC Talent is currently working with a supportive and well-resourced SEND school in the Wisbech area who are seeking a dedicated and creative Design & Technology (DT) Teacher to join their team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), delivering engaging, practical lessons in a nurturing and structured environment.
The Role:
*
Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons tailored to students with SEND
*
Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of additional needs
*
Create a safe and inclusive workshop/classroom environment
*
Support students in developing practical skills, confidence, and independence
*
Work closely with support staff and SENCO to implement EHCP targets
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*
Experience working within a SEND setting (highly desirable)
*
Confident differentiating lessons to meet individual needs
*
Strong behaviour management and a calm, patient approach
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
*
Passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential
