Our San Diego, California facility is seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing improvements to our inventory control processes. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a keen eye for detail are essential. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to ensuring efficient operations. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Manage and maintain inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status to management.
- Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure items are accurately recorded and stored.
- Identify and address potential issues related to damaged or expired goods.
- Collaborate with operations, shipping, and receiving teams to optimize inventory flow.
- Implement best practices for inventory storage, organization, and security.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is required.
- Advanced knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
