Our San Diego, California facility is looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our warehouse inventory. This position is essential for ensuring that our stock levels are precise, allowing for seamless order fulfillment and optimized logistics. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stock errors and losses. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of inventory management principles. You will collaborate with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to ensure data integrity and operational excellence. A strong analytical mindset and the ability to interpret data are crucial for success in this role. We expect all team members to prioritize safety and adhere to all company guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves frequent standing, walking, and potentially some lifting of items. Join our team and contribute to the smooth running of our supply chain operations. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and root causes of errors.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Monitor stock levels and report on potential shortages or overages.
- Assist in the investigation of lost or damaged inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Support logistics and operations teams with inventory-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and PPE usage.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to perform some lifting as required.
