Seeking experienced Shipping & Receiving Associates to join our busy logistics hub in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this vital role, you will manage the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. Your responsibilities will encompass receiving deliveries, verifying shipments, preparing goods for dispatch, and maintaining detailed records. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety; all team members must comply with stringent Safety protocols and wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires the ability to handle frequent Lifting and possess a good understanding of warehouse logistics. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming freight.
- Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Accurately document all received and shipped goods.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including staging and loading.
- Maintain an organized and clean receiving and shipping area.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely (certification may be required).
- Follow all Safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, team members, and management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Proficiency with shipping software and inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices and the use of PPE.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for a logistics environment.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
