Your New Role

Join our Contribution Engineering team, where you’ll play a vital role in designing and installing contribution technology across the EMEA region. Your mission? To help build and maintain the platforms that deliver TNT Sports & Eurosport’s expanding portfolio of sports rights.

In this hybrid role, you’ll work closely with production and sports technology teams, influencing technology choices and workflow designs for major events like the Grand Slam and Olympics. Expect to be in the office up to 3 days a week in Chiswick Park, London, with travel to major events.

Your Role Accountabilities
  • Design and implement contribution compression systems for TNT Sports/Eurosport.
  • Liaise with Sports Technology, Production, and Operations teams on future projects.
  • Champion innovative contribution technology across the business.
  • Manage third-party suppliers, ensuring clear requirements and adherence to SLAs.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies to enhance our broadcast capabilities.
  • Provide expert technical support, troubleshooting issues promptly.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree-level education or experience in a broadcast environment.
  • Knowledge of current compression standards and broadcast video signal chains.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to advance projects independently.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information.
  • Willingness to travel for major events in the fast-paced sports broadcasting world.
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with JPEG 2000/XS, H264/HEVC, and NDI.
  • Knowledge of SMPTE 2022-7, 2110, NMOS, and SDN.
  • Experience with UHD, HDR, and Dolby Atmos formats.
  • Previous experience in remote production and deploying systems in AWS and GCP.
  • Experience with LTE and internet contribution (SRT/RIST/ZIXI).
  • Background in MCR operations and engineering.
Working Conditions
