Are you a motivated individual looking for an opportunity in Washington, D.C.? We are hiring Picker/Packers to join our dedicated logistics team. This role is essential for accurately and efficiently preparing customer orders for shipment. You will be responsible for picking items from inventory, verifying order details, and packing them with care. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are crucial. This position offers a dynamic work environment where productivity and teamwork are highly valued. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering orders correctly and on time. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all employees are required to follow safety guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Your contribution is vital to our daily operations and the overall success of our logistics efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on customer order specifications.
- Verify picked items against order sheets or electronic devices to ensure accuracy.
- Package products securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including applying labels and staging in the designated area.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and scanning devices safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all warehouse safety rules.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages to a supervisor promptly.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Follow all instructions for safe Lifting and handling of packages.
- Contribute to the efficient flow of goods through our logistics system.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Capable of frequently Lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to successful logistics operations.
