We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy warehouse in Houston, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is crucial in maintaining the flow of goods within our facility, supporting both receiving and shipping operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Stack and stage merchandise in designated areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment before and after use, documenting any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement as needed.
- Ensure proper use of required PPE , including hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
- Follow all logistics and warehouse operational guidelines.
- Promptly report any accidents or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Assist with general warehouse duties when not operating a forklift, potentially including some manual Lifting .
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up).
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Commitment to wearing and maintaining PPE .
- Ability to perform occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
