We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our expanding logistics facility in Jacksonville, Florida. This critical position ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with stock placement and order fulfillment. A thorough understanding of forklift operation, warehouse safety protocols, and efficient logistics practices is essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and other vehicles efficiently and accurately.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage locations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through proper stock placement.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Strictly follow all warehouse safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper use of required PPE at all times.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to meet operational goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Perform occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA-compliant preferred).
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant operating experience.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, balance, and spatial awareness.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Must consistently wear and utilize appropriate PPE.
